Family Tutoring Alliance is a scholarship granting organization (SGO) dedicated to providing direct-to-family tutoring scholarships to students in public schools.

Mission: Ensure struggling students receive the individualized support they need by enabling them to work with highly-effective tutors and maintaining meaningful engagement with families.

Vision: A national alliance of families and high-quality tutoring providers that work together to provide targeted support to students. This work will be reinforced by a centralized hub of resources, trainings, and state-specific opportunities designed to strengthen a national ecosystem of highly-effective afterschool tutoring.

Building the Alliance

We are currently building an alliance of community partners and tutoring providers so that we can quickly collect donations and award scholarships when the program opens up on January 1, 2027. We are looking for partners in the following areas:

• Businesses

• Local governments

• Community organizations

• CPA and other professional associations

• Faith-based communities

• Tutoring providers

Our work is currently focused on partnerships in our home state of Louisiana but we are open to exploring partnership opportunities to bring scholarships to students in other states as well.
